Undertaken in collaboration with OECD, this project aims specifically at improving the capacity of the Med countries and territories to elaborate and implement effective policy measures directed at promoting the development of a strong private enterprise sector and, indirectly, supporting employment generation. This will be achieved through a process including the benchmarking of policy performance at country and regional level, the identification of strong and weak points in policy elaboration and implementation and the definition by the Med governments of sets of policy priorities, through a process of consultation with private sector associations and donors.
